Overview
Measure the stay, the round and the table in a single visit.
Resort guests do not separate reservations, the front desk, the golf shop and the restaurant. They remember how the weekend felt. A mystery guest programme follows that same path and scores each department on the same scale.
RCA has measured the guest experience at more than 50 golf clubs and resorts and more than 1,600 brands overall. Guests are matched to your target market, such as a couple on a golf weekend, a corporate group or a family stay.
Mystery guest and mystery shopper describe the same method. RCA uses the term your team prefers, and the scorecard, reporting and quality checks are identical.

In more detail
Mystery guest or mystery shopper?
They are the same method. Hospitality teams often say mystery guest because the person stays, plays and dines like any other guest. Retail and service teams often say mystery shopper. RCA runs both under one standard: matched people, a scenario agreed with you, an evidence-based report and quality control before anything reaches you.
Questions
Frequently asked questions
What is a mystery guest programme?
A mystery guest programme sends a matched, trained guest to experience your resort and report on it against your standards. It is the hospitality name for mystery shopping.
Can the mystery guest stay overnight?
Yes. Overnight stays let us score check-in, the room, dining, golf and check-out in one journey. Day visits and single-department visits are also available.
Do you cover golf and dining as well as accommodation?
Yes. The scorecard can include the golf shop, starter, course services, restaurant, bar, spa and events.
How are the findings shared?
You receive scores by section, verbatim comments and priorities in a clear report, then a review session with your team.
Is this different from a mystery shopper for a golf club?
The method is the same, but resort programmes add accommodation and a longer journey. See also our mystery shopper programme for golf clubs.
